There is a long and vibrant tradition of nostalgia for a Paradise Lost in England. It is usually a commentary on the present - Rule Britannia and Jerusalem were looking backwards at the time they were written. The Waterboys. As true today as it ever was...?

I wasn't keen on that song at all. The military-style drumming was a bit wearing, and I didn't like like the singers voice and the melody didn't vary much from start to end. I don't agree with the basic subject matter either.

Oh Dear. Sorry you didn't like it. Still, it would be a funny world if we liked all the same music.

I agree, if we all liked the same stuff, we'd have nothing to talk about!
I'll be posting a couple of songs myself shortly, and I welcome your view whether positive or negative.
Tom.

Brilliant Waterboys track that. Must say my fav is Rags from the album A Pagan Place. If you ever come across their first album though it a must.
