Some rather fine new deep minimal techno. If you aren't familiar with this sort of music, just try and let it wash over you. Put it on close your eyes and relax, or put it on and do something else. Either way it has a very calming effect. The whole album Echospace is similar.

Pro Good description. I'm a big fan of Orbital too. I have all their albums but alas only got to see them live once (at Glastonbury). Orbital make me excited, but Deepchord make me relaxed.

I have every Orbital album and it is difficult to find a favourite but I love the album "Insides" and in particular "dwr budr" which means dirty water....so very atmospheric

Pro Coincidentally, In Sides is one of my favourites too, although I'd go for "The Girl With The Sun In Her Head" because I love the high-pitched synth melody, the drums, the slow, moody intro and the feel of the piece as a whole. Parts of the Brown Album are just astonishing though.

The song "the girl with the sun in her head" was written for a friend of theirs that sadly died called Sally Harding

Pro It always pleases me to know that song was recorded using solar power. The last time I went to Glastonbury, there was a bicycle-powered soundsystem in the stone circle. They'd get two audience members to pedal for as long as they could manage before another two "volunteers" took over. The greater the pedalling, the greater the volume! Fantastic idea. It would just be marvelous iif the played TGWTSIHH on that system.

This is very gentle
I'm a very big fan of Orbital which I profess is much harsher but Paul Hartnoll has the ability to write beautiful ambient sounds for movies (in my opinion anyway)
