Sketches of Spain, yeah, great stuff. Saw him live, eh? Lucky, lucky man.

Truly excellent. Kind of Blue really must be one of the best albums ever made, in any genre.

Sketches of Spain was the first album I heard, and then Witches Brew blue my lid off and that of the contemporary jazz fusion world too, he created it, yes???

Anywho, had witnessed Miles live at Paul's Mall in Boston circa 1969-7?; from the opening notes aired after I clicked the video to start I was swooned back to that awesome double/header. Thanks. Two shows back to back with a 'space doubt' intermission, his back-up returned first, the now infamous keyboardist who swaggered stonily to the electronic keyboard and chorded off riffs after their 'break.' As the accompanying quartet 'methinks' kept the rhythms going until then Miles entered the intimate stage set within reach among the surrounding tables in the 'bistro' performance stage setting and began to blow we souls in audience triumphantly higher throughout the rest of that magical evening blowing his glistening golden trumpet on Boylston St in 'Bean Town.'
Thanks for inspiring the reverie. Cheers!
