Grocer Jack, Grocer Jack, Get Off Your Back
@ 2008-06-29 – 22:44:07
This record gave me nightmares when I was 4 years old. Very deep, and from 1967:
Keith West and "An Excerpt from a teenage opera" and rather surprisingly, this was a massive hit.

The Adventures - much under rated

Tracks taken from their 2 brilliant albums, 'Theodore and friends' , and 'The sea of love' both released in the 80's.

Haven't heard of her? Shame on you.
And before you say - hang on, isn't this music invented way after the 90s? Aimee Mann started in 80s band Til Tuesday, as I will demonstrate below:

"Down like dirt man, we dusted"
@ 2008-06-21 – 21:13:21
Dusted by Leftfield
One of my favourite records of all time, that I used to play at stupid levels of volume in my last house in the country with no neighbours. It has an irresistably simple rhythm, heavy bass, and vocals by Roots Manuva. The lyrics actually make a very positive statement about self-image too.
Cheers, Tom

Richard & Linda Thompson - I Want to See the Bright Lights

Alternative version by Julie Covington

Nervous Wreak - Radio Stars
@ 2008-06-20 – 17:58:16
One of my favourite Punk bands. Only they could get away with the lyric
"Electro Encephalograph, plug it in my brain". -
Disco Dancing Machines

The Dirty Beatniks
Unfortunately, this is a reduced length version of the song without the intro and the ending.
Cheers, Tom.
