She was born in Mexico as a native Spanish speaker before moving to America and learning English and later to Canada where she learned French. Her latest album contains songs in all 3 languages. This is genius both lyrically and musically. The lyrics read like poetry and the music is hypnotically and sparsely simple yet magnificently played.

This is a beautiful live clip of her and well worth 4 minutes of your time.

  Interesting description, and I can hear what you mean. To me, it feels like it has been developed from African folk music.

    One thing I forgot to say...you can reduce the size of your video once you've pasted it into Write as well if it doesn't fit you blog page...just reduce size at the beginning and towards the end there's another repeat of the size and you match that one as well... Great big hugs...
